The WDC today met with Minister Alan Dillon at Leinster House to discuss ongoing work to advance the Circular Economy and sustainable regional development, informed by recent OECD findings.
The discussion explored opportunities for collaboration in driving innovation, local enterprise and community engagement to build a more circular and resource-efficient economy. This aligns with the WDC’s Unlocking Potential, Driving Change 2025–2029 strategy, which identifies sustainability, partnership and social innovation as key pillars for regional growth.
With the Whole of Government Circular Economy Strategy 2026–2028 now open for consultation, the meeting provided a timely opportunity to connect regional insight with national policy.
