I’m incredibly honored that voters have given us the opportunity to advance to the general election for Mayor of Los Angeles. To the thousands of supporters who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, donated, and opened their homes for events across the city, and to everyone else who made this moment possible: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now our fight for a healthier, safer, more affordable, and more joyful Los Angeles continues. For too long, City Hall has prioritized giving political advantage to powerful interests that fund elections. Meanwhile, working people pay the price in higher rents, depleted services, and a city that has stopped working for them. If you’re as frustrated by the broken status quo as I am, I hope you’ll join our movement to build a city that works for everyone.

Thank you to the LA Daily News for publishing my op-ed on how single-family zoning is keeping Los Angeles, quite literally, down! Making LA a more affordable, livable city will require making it legal to build housing in more of the city and that's what I'm running to do.
Opinion: Henry Mantel: Single-family zoning is the anchor dragging Los Angeles down dailynews.com/2026/05/27/hen…

AHLA is proud to endorse Nithya Raman for Mayor of the City of Los Angeles! Nithya Raman isn't afraid to be the only champion behind issues she believes in like being one of only five City Council members to support SB79. We need someone with her fight as Mayor of this great city. Make sure to make your voting plan for next Tuesday whether that be in person or by mail-in ballot! Your vote counts and your voice should be heard. Join us in voting for housing equity on June 2nd! #AHLA #CAprimaryelection #Raman4LAMayor #ahlafeaturedendorsement #housingjustice

I think this is a mistake. I support everything ULA is funding, but ULA has objectively made it more expensive to build housing at a time when we need to be building a lot more housing. We can’t just keep taking a wait-and-see approach when we’re in the middle of a crisis!
LA Council Committee reviewing the city's mansion tax/Measure ULA decides NOT to recommend a November ballot measure to make changes. Chair @YsabelJuradoLA says it's too early to evaluate the tax's long-term effects.

Broke: Karen Bass illegally blocking 120 units of badly-needed affordable housing. Woke: An affordable Los Angeles for all.
The city of Los Angeles lost a lawsuit over a megacontroversial affordable housing project its been trying to block in Venice this week. Last fall, the state threatened to pull the city's zoning authority if it didn't approve the development. subscriber.politicopro.com/a…

This is a 🔑 state senate seat where we could elect a pro-housing candidate with a track record: ✅ vocal SB 79 supporter ✅ pursues reforms—upzoning, permit streamlining, reducing parking mandates—to create housing abundance 🗳️ If you live in SD24, vote for @JohnEricksonWH!
AHLA is proud to endorse John Erickson for California's State Senate seat for District 24! John has delivered real results through real action. In his time on the West Hollywood City Council, he championed initiatives that expanded housing opportunities. We need someone with his drive on the California State Senate! Make sure to make your voting plan for next Tuesday whether that be in person or by mail-in ballot! Your vote counts and your voice should be heard. Join us in voting for housing equity on June 2nd! #AHLA #CAprimaryelection #EricksonforDistrict24 #ahlafeaturedendorsement #housingjustice

This is incredible! We can have this in Los Angeles as well, we just need to elect leaders who are serious about solving the housing crisis! The primary will be over in one week, be sure to get those ballots in!
Replying to @aarmlovi
Mamdani's housing plan is live! There's sweeping YIMBY stuff: -Aggressive TOD upzoning -Major permitting reform -Rescuing & rebuilding NYCHA -Building Code reform They're also looking at finer details, like fixing the FDNY inspections that so often delay final occupancy
