Miss May, Miss May! She pinged in yesterday right off of Onslow Beach, NC! This beach has one of the longest-running sea turtle monitoring projects @seaturtle in NC started in the early 1970s, and also has a Sea Turtle Sanctuary established in its coastal waters! ππ¦π

It's #NationalTechnologyDay! From tags to the tracker& ultrasounds to BRUV technology too,scientists onboard the @OCEARCH have used all kinds of tech to do research about sharks and the ocean! Someone from Risser's Beach also shared drone footage of one of our π¦ in Nova Scotia!

Today @MissCostaShark is pinging off the North Carolina coast. Again she never went to Canada, which supports our hypothesis that there are 2 subpopulations of white sharks in the NW Atlantic, one that uses Cape Cod this time of year and the other that uses Canada.
