It's been two weeks since we started the festival! Thanks again to everyone who came and joined us for Widescreen Weekend 2024. We've received fantastic feedback on this year's edition so please take the time to complete our online audience survey. buff.ly/3YjkDvE

It was a joy to introduce TO CATCH A THIEF for the recent @WidescreenWknd festival @MediaMuseum! Sadly, I couldn't be there in person, but it was great to be a part of this virtually. Special thanks to Programme Manager-the incredible Bex Hill- for sending me this photo! 🎞️✨

Brilliant to have the Scottish premiere of Splice Here, a little after 2 years since its UK premiere at @WidescreenWknd 2022. And even better to create an event around celebrating celluloid with 35mm projection and tours! Well done @DCAdundee!
Celebration of Celluloid! 📽️ - CINEMA PARADISO (35mm) 'In Motion' - SPLICE HERE: A PROJECTED ODYSEEY (Scottish Premiere) - INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS (35mm) 'A Perfectly Healthy Situation' - Projection room tours on the day! @DCAdundee, Sun 3 Nov. 🎞️ dca.org.uk/news/celebration-…

Wrap up @WidescreenWknd in style with some 50s favourites, featuring Simon and Laura on 35mm 🎞️
Morning all! It's the last day of Widescreen Weekend and we've got a couple more VistaVision events to go until we finish. - The Searchers - Simon and Laura - And our partner screening up at Bradford Movie Makers with A Trouble With Harry buff.ly/3TEijwd

One hundred years after he was born, we celebrate the Italian star who transcended his ’Latin lover’ image in all-time-great films for Federico Fellini. theb.fi/3Bn2mEF

Day four of @WidescreenWknd and you catch some Cinerama and historical epics (unless you’re talking a well-earned nap after Indiana Jones)

Day 3 might be "technically" over but we're still going at 4am! Indiana Jones formatted especially for our curved screen is the perfect way to finish an incredible Saturday of Widescreen Weekend!

Looks like a technical error has stopped the 3-stripe Cinerama screening of 'How the West was Won' but the amazing @pictureville_BD team had a technical error reel ready to go in 35mm. This is fantastic!

It's day 3 of Widescreen Weekend and we're kicking off with the magic of Cinerama. 3 projectors and projectionists working in unison for one massive image. And later we've got La Dolce Vita, Pride and Prejudice, Sicilian Ghost Story, Phantom Thread and Vertigo!
