#WeirdFact : President John Quincy Adams, who served as the 6th President of the United States from 1825 to 1829, had a pet alligator. Marquis de Lafayette, a French general and political figure, gifted the alligator to Adams during his presidency. The alligator lived in a bathtub in the East Room of the White House. Visitors were sometimes taken aback when they encountered the unexpected reptilian resident. Eventually, the alligator was moved to a more suitable home in the Washington D.C. public gardens.

In a study conducted by researchers at Purdue University, pigs were trained to control a cursor on a computer screen using a joystick with their snouts. The pigs quickly learned how to manipulate the joystick and were able to successfully move the cursor to hit targets on the screen, earning rewards in the form of food.
