Please take time to object to this planning application to build 221 houses on Britain's only site for Greater Tongue Orchid, as well as 600 Green-winged and several other species. Please retweet and share, instead of just liking 😃😃😃 colchester.gov.uk/wampd/?id=…

I only went to get a snap of Ox-eye Daisies in full swing, and found a whole insect party going on. The OED’s are hosting: honey bee; green beetle; aphid; and (on the leaf) a green bottle fly.

You’re all over it! Yes, it’s broad beans, strawberries, peas and potatoes. It’s not too late to start growing veg - the ideal time for direct outdoor sowing and planting. And the garden centres are open! Don’t crowd them mind...#GladToBeGrowing
