At Perp Labs, we’ve spent years pushing the boundaries of DeFi UX and onboarding new users on chain. When we began Wilde, our thesis was that debit cards could serve as the missing bridge between DeFi and people’s everyday lives. But after studying the behavior of existing card products, we saw the reality: cards are great for short-term incentives, but they rarely drive lasting user engagement or help people truly adopt on-chain finance. That made us rethink. So we went back to first principles. Wilde isn’t about stapling crypto to a card. It’s about rethinking what financial products look like when they’re born native to the chain. Wilde isn’t about attaching DeFi to a card anymore. It’s about the longer-term mission of finding product experiences that are native to the chain and truly intuitive for users. Wilde remains an open space for experiments as we search for what’s next.
