First round batch, blue and green with a Costal Kale fragrance from Counrty Lane. I'm excited about this one, but I can't wait to make my oval mold! I just need to work on my cuts. I'm having and hard time getting squared up on my cuts so the thickness is more on one side :-/
It's been far too long since I've made soap. It feels good to make a batch. There is no scent and forgive the soap ash. I'm glad my garage is cooling down. Time to soap! #soapmaking#soap
Sooo I whipped air into the soap causing bubbles and I think I either had the molds stored in to high a temp or I didn't use enough lye because after 48hrs I released them from the molds and they where really soft. So I lost a lot of detail.
This is my third batch, it's a layered pink/purple avacado caster, lard, olive & coconut bar with orange/rosemary&thieves scent. It's super soft! I think I used too much avocado oil, I guess I'll see in a free wks how it turns out!
Here is my second batch. I'm much happier with the way it turned out! It's a 2lb batch which fit into my loaf mold better. It's olive, coconut and caster based w/blue&yellow swirls and a peppermint/lemongrass/frankensents aroma. I can't wait to try it!
This is my first batch of soap. It's a 1lb olive oil, coconut and castor base. No fragrances or dyes. It was a little underwhelming. It will be ready for testing Saturday. Didn't look like much but I hope it lathers well!
