About 450 gifted students from kindergarten to fourth grade participated in #CampEinstein at @WillardModelES. Everything from interacting with animals to computer coding, there was plenty to keep these students busy during their 4-week adventure.

We added a second recess into our schedule this year for all PK-5, and teachers have reported how beneficial it has been. Student success has improved, discipline is low, and overall student "happiness" appears to be up!

2nd-graders from @WillardModelES went on a 4-day field trip to #CampYoung, where they learned about animal life cycles while exploring the forest environment near the Elizabeth River.
They enjoyed searching for the plants and animals that live there. It was amazing!

Continuing to write scholar’s names on their water bottles to use with our touch-less water fountains. When I drop off a class supply, scholars are excited! The remaining bottles should be distributed next week.
