Hello @elonmusk, I keep seeing a lot of people saying you are now worth a trillion dollars. Could you please give me a grand so that I can get some stuff for my garden? Pop it down as a charity donation.

The New Yorker exposé of the Tate brothers is long but essential reading. These men are cartoonishly evil; if a novelist invented them, it would feel like hack writing. I'm going to share a paywall-free link in the next tweet, because as many people as possible need to read this.

I see Ocarina of Time is having a remake. This could tip me into updating my Nintendo, Zelda is the best game I've ever played.

A research into cat behavior shows that domestic cats regard humans as social peers rather than superiors, often perceiving their owners as large, awkward kittens. Far from being aloof or defiant, a cat’s apparent indifference stems from a profound interspecies mismatch in social expectations. As anthrozoologist John Bradshaw explains, cats—unlike dogs—never evolved to recognize humans as dominant leaders or authority figures. Instead, they filter all interactions through an exclusively feline framework. Behaviors like kneading on your lap or licking your hair are not mere displays of affection; they are the same grooming and bonding rituals cats reserve for close kin or pride members. In their eyes, we are simply enormous, somewhat clumsy fellow cats who require inclusion in the group. This absence of hierarchical deference accounts for cats’ frequent disregard of commands or household rules. Treating us as equals, they follow cat-to-cat social protocols in every encounter. The “gifts” of dead prey on the doorstep or constant shadowing around the home are acts of care toward what they see as a big, furless, rather inept companion. Recognizing this mindset transforms the human-cat relationship from one based on authority and obedience to one of mutual companionship. It turns out that while many owners believe they have domesticated their cats, the cats themselves are quietly convinced they are patiently tending to their oversized, adopted family members. My World Cup prediction is that England won't make it to the quarter finals, Scotland won't make it out the Group stage

Periodically I have to stop following people when my timeline becomes clogged with their nonsense and I realise that I only followed them because they posted a funny cat video one time

His fur looks like it's made from suede 🥰🤗
His instincts to enter the water silently with no splashes are amazing, that is fundamental for Jaguars in the wild since they do a large part of their hunting in the water.

This man is an absolute angel on Earth. If you don't follow him then start now and see the amazing journeys these dogs go on, from desperation and pain to happy, healthy new lives.
She is a very special girl indeed is Marilyn Monroe. It takes a lot to break a dog but she was very nearly there. She is utterly exhausted. Time to start changing her life

Ignore the critics. The Michael Jackson film is hugely enjoyable, the young man (his nephew?) playing the title role is brilliant, well worth watching - especially if you remember the MJ golden era

Harvester do a £10 burger offer on Wednesdays. Maybe it's my working class heritage but I like a solo Harvester trip. I bring my book, prowl around the salad bar, collect the points, check the offers I am able to enjoy. It's an experience.
