I honestly don’t know where to begin with this. You never think it’ll happen to you.. until it does. Last night, I lost a significant amount of assets across both warm and cold wallets, spanning several blockchains. All my private keys were stored the old-school way: handwritten, tucked inside a fireproof document bag. My CEX funds are untouched, though I didn’t keep much there. Once I have a clearer understanding of what actually happened, I’ll share more details. The NFTs I lost make up only a small part of the total damage, but they carry the deepest sentimental weight. Years of IP building, countless artworks created... and more than that, this space gave me a chosen family. That part, thankfully, can’t be taken from me. The amount of love and support I’ve received from @CryptoGarga, @BoredApeYC, @mutant_cartel, my @JustMoneyIO crew, @boringsecurity, and so many others has left me completely humbled. I don’t even have the words to express how deeply that means to me. I’ve never felt that kind of collective care and strength before outside of web3, and it reminded me why this space - and the people in it matter SO much. Truthfully, last night I was ready to say “fuck it,” cancel Apefest, and say "that's it". When I lost my younger brother two years ago - the person I built everything in web3 with - I also didn’t know if I could keep going. Yesterday, I found myself at that point again. But the kindness and encouragement I’ve received reminded me that I’m not alone, I’ve made it through storms before, and I’ll do it again. I just need a bit of time to breathe, to find my footing again. I’m deeply grateful - and I’m not leaving. Love you all
