*THINGS MAY GO WRONG FOR GOOD*
*_Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.' 2 Corinthians 129_*
Nicholas James Vujicic, popularly known as Nick, was born with tefra-amelia syndrome - that is, he was born without arms and legs. Since there was nothing the parents could do to change the situation, they accepted the challenge of bringing him up, trusting that God had a purpose for him in life.
In his early childhood, Nick was ridiculed and bullied by other kids because of his disability. He felt so depressed and lonely. It was difficult for him to accept his condition, and he always wondered why he was different from all the other kids. He experienced sadness and low self-esteem. Three times Nick attempted to take his life. But, as time went by, he learnt to accept himself. Nick felt that God could still use him, even without arms and legs. He began to shape his destiny by exercising strong faith in God. He never allowed his physical challenges to deform his life.
Today, Nick is an international speaker and evangelist. He has traveled around the world to share Christ and his own personal story with millions of people, including students, professionals, and diverse congregations. Nick can swim, surf, play the piano, and play basketball. He can sing and do many other things, some of which even many people with hands and legs cannot do. As Nick says: "If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart!"
In life, sometimes things may go the opposite way to how we expected. A happy life can turn into sorrow. Marriages can fail. Studies can come to an end. Pockets and purses can be emptied. The womb might not yield fruit. Unexpected terminal illnesses might occur. Death will occur eventually, unless the Second Coming comes first. In this life, things can go extremely wrong. Nevertheless, we can still trust God and His ways. God can still work out something good for us in the bad times. You may not be able to change what has gone wrong, but God can mend it for your good. You only need faith and trust!
_Today's prayer: Father in Heaven, help us to understand that nothing goes wrong without Your blessings. In Jesus' name I pray - amen!_
GOOD MORNING DEAR FRIENDS AND HAPPY DAY.
