Mod Update – 6 Months In I started this project back in November with one goal: build the most immersive Wisconsin high school football experience possible in NCAA 14 - the greatest college football game ever created. Full disclosure: this is my first time modding a game, and I bit off a massive task in designing 126 custom teams from the ground up — every jersey, helmet, pants, logo, stadium, field, conference, plus swapping out all the NCAA stuff for WIAA and Wisconsin high school flavor. Six months later, all the teams and uniforms are replaced (thanks Chandy and @NAIAFootball26), the game’s been rethemed, conferences realigned to 2026 format, and I’m about 75% of the way there. I could realistically drop the mod in late July and you would have a really solid, playable game with your favorite teams ready for Dynasty and Play Now. But the perfectionist in me wants to maximize immersion — swap in every customized HS stadium (30 done), updated 2026 rosters, real historical WIAA records, awards, etc. to make the history feel alive. For what it’s worth, I’ve literally gone as far as altering the recruiting engine such that newly generated player names skew Midwest/German/Polish, etc. - yes, that level of perfectionist 😂. That said, I also have limitations with the number of teams I can add in the first release (sensitive subject, I know), but I’m more than happy to release expansion packs with additional teams, and take on custom team requests. FWIW I think I’ve put the most effort into Division 4-7 teams, so I didn’t forget about you guys So, I’m at a crossroads on how and when to release and want your feedback on how to proceed 👇 Anyway, thanks for following/supporting.
