Millennials are the reason Pokémon still matters.
We played the Game Boy games under our blankets at night.
We traded cards at lunch.
We watched the show every morning before school.
We saw the movies in theaters.
We begged our parents for packs at Walmart.
Pokémon wasn’t an “asset class” to us.
It was our childhood.
A lot of the newer generation doesn’t have that same emotional connection. To many of them, it’s just slabs, sealed product, and profit margins.
And when the nostalgia is gone, the money eventually follows.
That’s the real long-term question for Pokémon collectibles.
