So when he put a number on where it goes from here, people paid attention: Baron, on CNBC: "This is going to become the largest company on the planet." On the long-term valuation: "The company over the next 10 or 15 years is going to be worth $10 trillion, $20 trillion, $30 trillion. And I could be very low." SpaceX is now his single largest position, $15B of Baron Capital's $55.8B book. Tesla $TSLA is a distant second at $5B.
