Crunching some numbers in the USA there is 163 million people employed and paying taxes and there is 110 million not employed and 76 million from that not paying taxes.

The Major problem I see with EV's and the reason why it will not be mainstream till one thing is fixed standardize the charging port. As you can see in this picture. Seems every car company comes out with a different plug. Unless it is standardized with One plug for all then each charging station in the world will be the same no issues at all no worry that the place cannot charge your car.
