It was particularly moving to see members of the Anslow family in attendance as our city continues to honour Adrian's memory and recognise the sacrifice made by him and so many others. Lest we forget. #Wolverhampton #MayorOfWolverhampton #Falklands #LestWeForget

As we reflect on the courage and dedication of all who served, we also remember those who never returned home, including Wolverhampton's own Adrian Anslow, who lost his life in 1982 at the age of just 20.

An absolute pleasure to welcome local actor Spencer Elcock to the parlour today. Spencer stars in the fantastic video Wolves put out to launch their new kit in the club's 150th anniversary year. The kit once again proudly features the city crest.

I was delighted to tell Spencer more about the crest and about some of the historic civic regalia we have here in the parlour. Spencer is a brilliant young man who is hugely proud of his roots and was so keen to learn about the history of our city.

A special tribute was also paid to Rose, who is retiring this July after an incredible 37 years of dedicated service. Her commitment to the pre-school and the families it has supported over the years is truly remarkable.

I was also delighted to meet young author Jayce Joyce BCyA, founder of 'Our Stories, Our World', a book written by talented young authors aged 6-10. It was inspiring to hear about the project and see such enthusiasm for reading and writing at a young age.
