Our exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Den Haag includes full collections of @dot_dot_dot_mag and @WorksThatWork. We instructed the guards to allow visitors to freely browse them.
I truly believe that people are social creatures and want to help others. Sometimes, they just fail to consider consequences of their actions. A thing I learned while editing @WorksThatWork magazine is that good design/action should benefit *ALL* involved parties.
Today a customer mentioned that she could get a new hardcover book online for $15. Our mission is not to shame anyone for their shopping practices, but we do feel a responsibility to educate about what it means when a new hardcover is available for $15 online.
Design in 2018 | 4. A sad loss for design in 2018 was the closure of the brilliant Dutch design journal Works That Work. It produced ten issues over fie years, all exploring "unexpected creativity” and politically charged aspects of vernacular design.
