Kannada as the Root of all Languages
Sri Kumudendu Jain Muni highlighted Kannada as the origin language of all human speech through his monumental 9th-century work, the Siribhoovalaya.
Rather than just stating it as an opinion, Kumudendu Muni created a mathematical masterpiece to prove his point:
Composed in Numbers: The entire text is written using Kannada numerals (1 to 64) rather than traditional alphabets.
The 718-in-1 Encryption: The numbers are arranged in complex mathematical grids called Bandhas (such as a (27 X 27) grid).
Decoding Multiple Languages: The core poetic structure is in Kannada (Sangathya metre). However, if you read the numbers in different geometric patterns (left-to-right, diagonally, or in spirals), the numbers decode into 18 different scripts and over 700 distinct languages, including Sanskrit, Prakrit, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi.
Because Kannada numbers serve as the literal master key to unlock every other language in existence, Kumudendu Muni demonstrated that Kannada serves as the foundational "mother" architecture for world languages and scientific knowledge
Thus, Kumudendu Muni explicitly claimed that all other major languages branch out from and are contained within Kannada.
Divine Origin: The ultimate spiritual discourses of Tirthankara, Lord Aadinatha, were delivered in a form that inherently contained the essence of Kannada.
The First Script: The first Tirthankara, Lord Rishabhadeva, taught his daughters Brahmi and Sundari the mathematical and alphabetical principles which were nothing but Kannada.
The Container of Speech: He posits Kannada as the fundamental, parent lattice from which other prakrits, scripts, and dialects emerged.
