Baby, I am back! Went to my first @WinnipegFringe volunteer meeting yesterday and felt like I was home, sweet home!
It’s my first time back since 2019 thanks to the panini (2020 & 2021) and my cancer (2022), so I wanted to brush up on any major changes since then.

Gov’t assistance, as wonderful as it is, doesn’t go far in 2022. While my chemo treatments and meds are covered by Canadian health care, surprise expenses like our recent $3,200 car repair are not.

So this is about my volunteering at #wpgfringe since 2002. This is the first festival I’m missing legitimately and it’s my least favourite part of this health stuff I’m dealing with.

I’ve elected to not volunteer or see shows this year for #wpgfringe while I focus on telling cancer to fuck all the way off.
