The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Outlook for today (June 10). While it appears the worst of the storms will be to the east of Wright County, the heat and humidity is expected to cause isolated. small-cell storms that often create significant hail events.

Minnesota anglers will be able to fish without a license from Tuesday, June 2 to Monday, June 8 during a pause in the DNR’s licensing system. Fishing regulations and bag limits are in effect. The pause is due to the DNR’s switch to an e-licensing system that will go live June 9.

The MPCA has issued an Air Quality Alert that includes Wright County starting at noon today and running through 9 p.m. The AQA is for ground level ozone and is listed as “unhealthy for sensitive groups,” including the elderly, small children and those with respiratory problems.
