If you submit a resume with your role requirements on it, and others instead put their accomplishments on their resume, you may not get an interview. You may think you are qualified, but the reader may see others who have demonstrated their value.
Don’t try and beat the system by stuffing relevant keywords into your #resume if you can’t prove your expertise, skills, and accomplishments in those areas. That’s how you get a #rejection email.
An effective #resume will significantly impact your job search. When you’re clear about your career goals and your value, it’s easier to find positions that meet your needs.
In my senior-year HR class, we were told we’d make $40K on our HR first jobs. Not sure what brand calculator sis was using, but I’m 100% sure I made $10.50/hr in mine. Never mind how old I am, that’s a $20K deficit. Is inflating salaries still a thing?
🔍 Sending out countless applications and getting no response? There's a better way! Learn how to build professional relationships and tap into the 80% of jobs that are never advertised with this @Macs_List roundup. 🌟 ow.ly/7smC50PFaKF

When you’re in between jobs, it’s easy to get lonely without the company of your colleagues. Schedule time with friends and family, whether virtually or in person. Now is the time to nurture your inner circle. #network#selfcare#unemployment
It’s common to feel depressed after losing your job or getting laid off. You may even be in poor health, so use some time after your #layoff to rest and restore. Catch up on health appointments while conducting your #jobsearch. #selfcare
After a #layoff is an ideal time to check in with how you’re feeling about your career. Pause to do some introspective thinking and to create a list of target companies that match your career #goals. #unemployment
If you’ve been laid off from work, don’t ignore your retirement contributions or assume your former employer will take care of everything for you. Talk to your HR department to make sure you understand your options and create a #strategy from there. #layoff#unemployment
When leaving a job, be sure to review your contributions with a financial advisor so you can decide what to do with your 401(k). Once you know where your money is and how much you have, you can think about your future options. #finances#layoff#newjob
Don’t be embarrassed about being laid off from work. Just explain that you’re currently in between jobs and describe what kind of role you’re looking for. Letting people in your #network know that you’re looking for a job can result in new opportunities! #layoff#unemployment
If you’ve been laid off from work, don’t be afraid to ask your former employer for feedback. Not only is it an opportunity to learn, but you might also get a few good references you can use to update your #LinkedIn profile. #layoff#unemployment
You were most likely contributing to #unemployment benefits at your last job. So, as soon as you get laid off from work, apply for yours to take the pressure off your #finances. #layoff
When presented with a #severance benefits package after a #layoff, it’s best not to sign anything right away. If you feel like the layoff gives you a legal claim to wrongful termination, consult an attorney. #careerguide
