Robert MacNeil was robbed of a Pulitzer because of an inept NBC employee who did not put him on air. On Nov 22, 1963 McNeil called NBC at 12:32 a full 2 minutes before the UPI Bulletin. McNeil did not get on the air until 12:42. The next day NBC fired that employee
