The main character of my next Revolution book is a gender-fluid character who gets to build a found family in the midst of a siege. #LGBTQWriMo #NaNoPrep

It's a little late in the day, but I'm Rev and #IAmNonbinary. I write queer historical fiction, including my most recent release, Where Cannons Roar. I'm a bit of a nerd about history, especially queer history.

Guess it's time for me to get back on Twitter. This year I'll be working on writing the story of a gender-fluid soldier in the midst of a siege. #NaNoPrep #LGBTQWriMo

I don't know why I see Goodreads trending for me but I want to shout out @thestorygraph for being vastly superior and to thank them for existing.

I've been doing a lot of worldbuilding (rebuilding?) lately and I'm finding this site to be kind of an obsession now. worldanvil.com/w/revolution-…

My 6th great-grandfather, whose surname I stole for my pen name, was involved in this attack.
#OnThisDay, Patriot Gen. “Mad” Anthony Wayne captured the British garrison at Stony Point during a risky nighttime assault. This patriot victory provided a much-needed morale boost and showed the bravery of American men. battlefields.org/learn/artic…
I'm not feeling very festive this July 4th for some reason... can't really put my finger on why...

I am currently in the process of moving, TODAY, to a new town and my only priority is updating my address and voter registration so I can vote in November because I'm terrified of what will happen if these monsters have unchecked control.

Since it's pride month and I am a gay, transgender man, I would like the stage for a moment. LGBTQ men have historically been erased, including from our own history. This is especially so for trans men. So, I want to showcase some trans men throughout history. 🧵

I took a much needed social media break and it felt lovely. But I'm back now because my second book is coming out soon and I want to talk about it! So expect lots of book things soon!
I'm starting to wonder if I should do research on moving out of the US...
I've concluded I need to make myself a series of timelines about the Revolution to help me write/edit when my mind goes blank about everything I've ever learned. Battles, political decisions, Washington's aides, other major events.

I've been trying to reduce my time here bc my mental health was already an issue & feeling powerless in the face of real-time war news, hateful legislation, & a dying planet has really taken that mental health even farther down.I'll be more active as Book 2's release approaches.

I'm not a strategist or anything, but I'm wondering how the current European course of action is supposed to prevent a third world war. Because we all know it won't end here. It truly feels like delaying the inevitable at this point.
