Ugh. Low, low, writer self confidence day and absolutely no idea about how to boost it.
I’ve been in this industry for 12 years and feel so foolish and like an absolute novice so often.

As a book editor, I truly believe revisions are where the magic happens and the story blossoms. But many authors get overwhelmed by the process.

I’m revisiting a very old draft, and it’s both so much fun and so bittersweet, because I’ve lost touch with the critique partner and friend who helped shape and develop it.

Which is sad in so many ways. But the clearest, I think, is all the people I’ve lost touch with.
I was deeply grieving a painful loss for a long time, and didn’t have the energy to keep up with others, who all faded out of touch.
Now, most aren’t even on twitter
