Itβs been a busy start to the week for new Killeen High (@KHSRoosFootball) football head coach Roderick Sneed and new Shoemaker (@ShoeWolfPack) football head coach Roy Locks. Theyβve been introduced to their campus athletic staff, met with the players and jumped into their first athletic coordinators meeting, aiming to close out 2025-2026 strong and laying the foundation for a successful 2026-2027 with the rest of the hard-working leaders in Killeen ISD athletics. #WeAreKISD

The Shoemaker girls are back in the 6A top 25 at No. 22. Lake Belton (5A No. 4), Chaparral (5A No. 22) and Salado (4A No. 24) are other area girls teams in the rankings.
The Gatesville boys remain No. 20 in 4A.

Two super-successful cross country seasons concluded Tuesday morning in the Class 6A Region II Championships at UT Arlingtonβs Harold Patterson Sports Complex.
District 12-6A champion Harker Heights finished 18th in the boys standings and the Shoemaker Lady Grey Wolves ββ first-time team regional qualifiers ββ placed 20th.
Congratulations to both teams on your accomplishments this season, and we look forward to a bright future.

Yesterday was the 6-A district meet! I placed 9th with a time of 20:15, which is a 40 second PR! Also, our team qualified for regionals for the first time in school history! Glad to be apart of this team, and we are going to continue to work towards the next challenge #FinishUgly
