I’ve also received questions about selling HUD SIGHT, so here’s the answer. Due to Japan’s security-related export control regulations, I don’t sell it overseas. However, domestic distribution is not an issue, so I produced a small batch and sold it at Comic Market. Despite being a doujin event, a large number of gunsight enthusiasts showed up, and it turned into quite a scene.

The US has already received territory from Denmark in exchange for Recognizing Danish sovereignty over Greenland. This is an important piece of historical context that appears to have been forgotten in recent debates about Greenland

Btw the official executive order doesn't actually change the Department of Defense to the department of war It just authorizes the use of the DoW as a "secondary title", meaning it's still the Department of Defense in all official capacities and this whole thing is performative
WE ARE THE WAR DEPARTMENT.

In that sense the DoD was never "renamed", it was just given a pseudonym. The historical Department of War is still defunct

Metal can be almost any color in the visible spectrum depending on the oxide layer, so doesn't that just mean all colors are "metal" color?

The internet is not a substitute for adequate parenting. The only safety feature kids need is a parent that doesn't let them roleplay with an AI on the internet
We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of one of our users and want to express our deepest condolences to the family. As a company, we take the safety of our users very seriously and we are continuing to add new safety features that you can read about here: blog.character.ai/community-….
Community note
This is the context: nytimes.com/2024/10/23/tec… The article explains the teen became emotionally attached to the AI chabot, however, the chatbot never directly walked the teen into suiciding. It's the lack of proper guidance/intervention from the platform that is being challenged

I really don't like this trend of parents making themselves oblivious to everything their kids do, waiting until something inevitably goes wrong, and then blaming the internet for not being safe enough

It's about as logical as being careless with a hammer, accidentally hitting your hand, and blaming the hammer company for not having enough safety features

I've been thoroughly screwed over by @Delta First they tell me my connection got cancelled, then I find out that my bag made it to the destination, meaning that the supposedly cancelled flight still happened and I was given wrong information

Saw the new FNAF and really enjoyed it. There were some strange plot devices but they did a good job fitting what they could into one movie. Would definitely go to the movies for a 2nd one

Spacial computing has been a thing for a long time. Apple just replaced existing terminology with some of their own jargon and called it new. Also what's up with all that metal and glass? Did they not put any thought into optimizing the weight of this?

Welcome to the era of spatial computing with Apple Vision Pro. You’ve never seen anything like this before!

The bill to ban TikTok is absolutely terrifying. It gives the government the ability to go after anyone they deem as a national security risk at which point they can access everything from their computer to video games to their ring light. This is a Patriot Act for the internet.

The #Steamdeck has a strong back catalogue of games, but it could probably do with an exclusive that makes use of all its features pcgamesn.com/steam-deck/need…
