Real risks for teenage girls posting their personal phone numbers publicly:
• Predators and creeps don’t care that it’s “for recruiting.” They actively scan social media for vulnerable teens sharing direct contact info.
• Random texts and calls from strangers at all hours.
• Once the number is public, it’s out there forever (doxxing risk).
• Scammers posing as coaches or scouts.
• Unhealthy pressure and FOMO making girls feel they must share private info to stay competitive.
Better approach for real recruiting:
Legitimate coaches and programs reach out the right way, through official emails, high school coaches, athletic directors, or verified recruiting platforms.
They don’t need your daughter’s personal cell blasted publicly on Instagram or X.
If an “anonymous account” is pushing your daughter to post her phone number, that’s a major red flag. Block and report it.
Parents and coaches: Let’s protect the safety and joy of these girls instead of feeding the chaos. Real opportunities don’t require risking their privacy and peace of mind.

I said this in a bitter moment. The Knicks deserved it. If they played the Spurs in a series 100 times they’d beat them 99 times. Brunson is so far superior to everybody else on the court it’s not even funny. They were best team in league. I hate every second of it but they are worthy champs.
