Have you seen these? I feel like my brain is regressing. They are really equating the 四民 (which doesn't exist anymore) to the Indian caste system. There's even one guy who argued that Xi Jinping is a Shi since Xi on the basis that Xi and Shi sounds the same.

Oh I've found a cool thing that is going on with Batakic pronouns. whilst most of the languages (I haven't checked them all) still retain the Proto-Malayo-Polynesian third person pronoun *(si-)ia, Toba-Batak had opted to use ibana (iba-na, self.3s; dirinya) instead.
