The decisions that shape our communities, our opportunities, and our future are made by those who show up and participate.
On Election Day, don’t leave your voice in the crowd. Join the process. Cast your vote. Be part of the choice that shapes what comes next.
In one week, campaign promises will give way to ballots. Between now and Election Day, take time to learn about the candidates, understand the issues, and make an informed choice. Democracy works best when citizens participate with purpose.

BVAS worked. Voter turnout was low. But one issue stood out.
Ahead of the Ekiti Governorship Election, Yiaga Africa observed INEC's mock accreditation exercise and found conflicting information regarding the proposed downloadable PVC.
While some election officials indicated it would not be used, training materials and reports from voters suggested otherwise.
Clear and consistent communication is critical to public confidence in the electoral process.

Ekiti is days away from an election. Drones will be deployed to watch against vote buying, the election has not even started and they spent ₦30 billion just to become candidates. The Ballot this week reads like a thriller, except it is real life.

Democracy Day is not just a celebration of years, it’s a moment of reflection.
27 years of Nigeria's democratic journey, we are reminded that democracy is not sustained by institutions alone, but by citizens who continue to believe in its promise and work daily to strengthen it.
We celebrate the progress made, acknowledge the challenges that remain, and renew our commitment to a democracy that is inclusive, accountable, and responsive to the aspirations of all Nigerians.
Today, we celebrate the resilience of the Nigerian people

We are 8 days away from #EkitiDecides2026
The future of Ekiti will not be decided by spectators, it will be shaped by voters.
Every election is an opportunity to choose the kind of leadership, development, and accountability we want to see.
For a better Ekiti!
#Election
Democracy is not spectatorship It is not something we watch from the sidelines and complain about when it falls short. It is something we build, protect, and strengthen through our actions.
Democracy doesn’t thrive because elections are held. It thrives when citizens remain engaged long after the ballots are counted.
The challenge is not democracy itself. The challenge is whether we, as citizens, are willing to do the work required to uphold it.
Happy Democracy Day
Will this be your first time voting in an election? Don’t worry, you’ve got this.
Every experienced voter was once a first-time voter. Your participation matters, and your vote is your voice.
9 days until Ekiti decides. Are you ready?
#EkitiDecides2026#WatchingTheVote
As the countdown to the 2026 Ekiti Governorship Election continues, our eyes are already on the process, as we have deployed our #WatchingTheVote Master Trainers across the state’s 16 local government areas to begin training observers for Election Day.
This step ensures our observers are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to systematically monitor the electoral process in line with our observation methodology.
From pre-election activities to Election Day and beyond, we will be watching, documenting, and reporting
Today, we convened civil society organisations and media practitioners in Ekiti State for the PRVT Academy, a strategic engagement designed to deepen understanding of our Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) methodology ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
The session provided a platform to examine the evolving electoral landscape, strengthen collaboration between key democratic actors, and build a shared understanding of election observation for transparency, credibility, and public confidence in the electoral process.
The countdown to the #EkitiDecides2026 has begun! In just 10 days, Ekiti voters will have the opportunity to shape the future of the state through the power of their vote.
Your vote is your voice. Every ballot cast strengthens democracy, and promotes accountability,
