Trump tariffs are a tax on the American people. Trump can say whatever he likes about tariffs, but it doesn’t mean they are a good idea. We know this will increase costs for hard working families — the exact opposite of what folks need.

Scam operations run by transnational criminal organizations have become a multibillion-dollar industry that targets Americans every day. Good news for our military families: the NDAA we advanced out of committee includes a pay raise for our troops. At a time when military families are facing higher costs for groceries, housing, and everyday necessities, this is a meaningful step in the right direction. I was proud to support this bipartisan provision.

Every item on a grocery store shelf had to get there somehow — and soaring diesel prices are making that more expensive by the day. I introduced the Diesel Prices Relief Act because families and farmers deserve relief from rising costs and truckers deserve a break from crushing fuel prices.

That’s why I introduced the Diesel Prices Relief Act to pause the federal diesel tax through January 2027 and help bring costs down for families, truckers, farmers, and small businesses.

As a former legal advisor on the National Security Council, I am appalled by the decision to make Bill Pulte Acting Director of National Intelligence. The President has chosen someone with no national security experience whatsoever to lead our nation’s intelligence community. I am deeply concerned about what this nomination means for the security of the United States.

Hardworking Virginians deserve reliable and affordable utility service. Endless rate hikes with little explanation or oversight are unacceptable. Utility companies must be held accountable when families are forced to pay more month after month.

Too many families are opening their utility bills and wondering how they are supposed to keep up. We need commonsense reforms that put consumers first, increase transparency, and ensure utility companies cannot continue passing unchecked costs onto working people. I’m leading common sense legislation to do just that.
