When you read the news, it can seem as if successful actions on the battlefield are carried out almost entirely by drones and happen somehow automatically. But when you read messages from the front, the picture looks very different. Almost every man and woman we help says the same thing: we survive by a miracle — and thanks to your support. The greatest number of thank-you messages are for anti-drone shotguns and thermal imaging super collimators, because there are countless moments every single day when they save lives. Second come thanks for ammunition for long-range rifles — because our snipers were able both to hit the enemy and remain undetected. Third are thanks for thermal imaging scopes and thermal imaging attachments, because they truly help people survive. Fourth are thanks for the vehicles we provide and for vehicle repairs funded through matched donations — because someone managed to get out in time, evacuate others, or reach the position when it mattered most. The main idea is always “let’s save money,” but thank God there is at least a secondary focus on the need for strict quality control! Because defective mines mean lost lives of our soldiers! For me, quality is the most important thing. And why does everyone talk about mines or summer jackets delivered instead of winter ones, but nobody talks about one of the most outrageous examples of low-quality procurement? Safari shotguns have many serious flaws!!! There are countless cases where this weapon failed, leading to the deaths of our servicemen from enemy drones. Huge numbers of these shotguns have been returned for repairs or simply abandoned in storage. With their own money, and with volunteer support, soldiers buy Typhoon Quake shotguns for 25,000–28,000 UAH and Typhoon Sierra shotguns for 29,000–32,000 UAH, depending on the store, discounts, and availability. Meanwhile, the Safari shotguns purchased by the state for 12,000–15,000 UAH sit unused at best. Or commanders force soldiers to use Safari shotguns, even forcing them to buy more Safari shotguns with their own money — and then people die because someone still has this soviet mentality in their head and no heart at all. Well, we keep working. Among affordable options, we choose the highest-quality equipment — and provide it! Why doesn’t the state do the same? Why commit what is effectively a crime just so everything looks “cheap, domestic, and therefore acceptable” on paper? Why criticize those who are at least trying to centrally procure Quake shotguns for special units? So, what is needed is: 1. Higher-quality state governance, where every decision is responsible and made with full understanding of its consequences — where every soldier is equipped as if they were your own child!!! 2.
