Knicks fans will continue to act like this in the years after winning the championship too because this is the best fanbase in basketball — they take over opposing arenas better than any other fanbase and they deserve to celebrate for that, because it genuinely helps the team.

Not many fanbases in all of sports actually meaningfully impact their team’s performance. You think of the “12th man” seahawks fans with their deafening noise at home. Knicks fans are disrupting opposing team’s “home field advantage” by showing out, and that matters.
