We’re just watching a film before getting an early night! Some children have done around 16,000 steps whilst also climbing the equivalent of 68 flights of stairs. Oh and then they spent a few hours squeezing through rocks too! Good job they demolished their meals today!
Today is SUPER busy! We’ve walked miles and miles, and some have got muddy and wet. Here’s just one weaseller for now….these are the challenges they’re facing today - can you believe he just fitted down and through this?!
The first group are already out and on activities on their final morning - the canoeists are warming up whilst the walkers are probably about 600m up by now and the weasellers are no doubt wriggling through a muddy hole under a rock by now!
It’s a been our big, busy day for group 1! All have been up at least one big hill and some have done two! Others have canoed and weaselled too - they’re looking tired this evening after being muddied and wetter than most other groups!
The children are up, had a great breakfast and are now well and truly into the activities @CentreCrowden. Mr Fenton is off canoeing with his group, Mrs Croker’s are weaselling through the rocks and mine have walked up to the clouds!
We’ve had a great first day at Crowden - the journey was excellent and we got straight into the entertaining challenge of making beds! After that and lunch, it was a full afternoon of team building and everyone’s favourite, orienteering!…
…seeing the children exploring the site independently and working together as a team was great and they showed some brilliant teamwork and problem solving! The evening was dinner and a quiz before heading to bed for a well earned rest! #Crowden2025
