One thing I always wanted to do with @YmirApp is to use it as a vehicle to support various causes. Almost from the start, I started donating part of every subscription fee to Stripe Climate. I started with 2% and then bumped it up to 5%. But that was also step one.

We're Dec 1st and I can officially say that @YmirApp made 1k MRR for the first time! 🎉 Not sure if it'll last this month, but it's a milestone either way. The next one is when I can switch to working on it full time! Who knows when that'll be 😅 Stats: ymirapp.com/open

The first @YmirApp API powered product! Proud product dad moment 👶🥲 I'll have a 🧵 on all this soon 🙃
I finally released Woogo Store SaaS! Omg! There is about a million things to do still, but now customers can get an e-store for 9.99$/m based on #WooCommerce and a curated selection of plugins, including Elementor Pro.

Let's talk about what it's like to contribute to WordPress outside of the project itself. I've been doing it out of my own pocket for over a decade and it's been a struggle. It's made me think a lot about open source sustainability in WordPress. So here's a 🧵 and a warning 🤣

This is something I'm accutely aware of after years reading startup post-mortems. It's also why I'm not looking to take investment for @YmirApp even if people ask me all the time 🤣 Just want a nice lifestyle business/calm company to fund my open source work ✌️

Just launched what I worked on for @YmirApp last week. You can now create some AWS resources straight from the dashboard without using the CLI. 🎉 More dashboard improvements to come! 💅

So wrapped up the design refresh of @YmirApp. I haven't touched it since 2020 when I put together a dashboard trying to learn Tailwind/Alpine/Livewire at the same time. Here are some before/after pictures 💅

One challenge with @YmirApp is explaining what the product does. Using the phrase "WordPress serverless DevOps platform" seems like I'm just tossing buzzwords at you. But I'm not! 🤣 The word choices were intentional, and this video explains why! youtube.com/watch?v=jvdSbAe-…

Brainstorming memes with @tommcfarlin for the next @YmirApp serverless course video. I think this is the winner.

But I felt I could do more. So I started working on a free video course on serverless (and @YmirApp too 😅), I finished the first video over the weekend. youtube.com/watch?v=v9QUbEOx…

So one of the big challenges with serverless and WordPress is that most people don't really know anything about. That's why I spend a lot of time writing articles on it for the @YmirApp blog.
