FULLTIME I We travelled away to face Holt in the cup and faced a side much different from the league game just a few weeks before. Despite the strong team Holt had out we battled well and found ourselves unlucky not to have been in the lead. Half time 0-0.

Second half was much like the first as we couldn’t take our chances and unfortunately paid the price, switching off defensively and finding ourselves 1 down. We continued to battle and had further opportunities, but just couldn’t take them.

The difference was that Holt took the chances they had, adding 2 more to their tally. We look forward to welcoming a different Holt at home next weekend. Man of the Match: Winston for setting an example and battling well throughout, never giving in πŸ–€πŸ’›

FULLTIME I Despite an admin week off, we hosted Madra reserves today who sit just above us in 4th. YOB started quickly and found ourselves 2-0 courtesy of two great long throws. Madra soon pulled one back and nerves started showing.

First half wasn’t our best and we struggled to play our football. Second half YOB came out like a different side. The football flowed and we began to run away with a lead. Some quality football absolutely tore the Madra defence apart.

Some superb performances from all over the pitch meant the lads finished the game comfortable winners. Men of the Match: Whitey & Kuda. Hard to look past your striker, Whitey, who scores 6…however the work rate and determination from Kuda today was first class πŸ‘ πŸ–€πŸ’›

FULLTIME I League favourites Holt faced a frustrating first half at home by our battling squad. We were unlucky to find ourselves 1-0 down at half time.

Second half and we were still well in the game until a poor refereeing decision led to a sending off. Holt were then much on top but we always felt like we had a chance to nick something. That was until a moment of switching off cost us and put us 2-0 down.

With 15 mins to go a lack of discipline lead to us finishing with 9 men, though we didn’t concede again. A frustrating day all around with a few suspensions now making the next few weeks a big test for us. MOTM: Matty Mayes again for a solid performance at the back πŸ‘ πŸ–€πŸ’›
