Go check out my article with Han & Han, now published online! This paper really shows the intersection of our interests, comparative politics and international relations. I would love to explore more of domestic factors that impact international cooperation.
My paper on political leaders and foreign aid allocation has been published in @FPA_Jrnl. My coauthors and I find that political leaders with experience of economic difficulty in their youth distribute more foriegn aid than those w/o such experience.

Congratulations to @YooneuiK for passing her dissertation defense! Well done!! Her study uses network & text analysis to understand naming and shaming processes in the UPR. Her results show bandwagoning in naming/shaming and convergence of states' UPR recommendation texts.
My co-authored paper with Elizabeth Menninga is now published online! Our research suggests that donors do respond to recipient governments' severe human rights violations but that this effect is conditioned by competition among donors. bre.is/3saDAhX9
Just finished my first online office hours. A student majoring in IR stopped by and said she is minoring in Korean. The two best fields to study in college! :)
Taught political participation right before the election day. Discussed about under-participation/representation of women, racial minorities, younger generation, and socio/economic disadvantaged. What a joy to be a political scientist.
Excellent week for my students! @sojeonglee22 accepted a post-doc at Tennessee working with Krista Wiegand. @YooneuiK won an outstanding TA award!! I am so proud!!
