It's been a while....
So, to improve active travel in Liverpool, @lpoolcouncil has decided to (checks notes) remove ALL existing cycle lanes from their proposed plans to create a cycling network.
You couldn't make this up.

Had someone make a negative comment about my accent the other day.
Made my blood boil.
As a lifelong Scouser, I am enormously proud of where I come from.
This city is in my blood and I'll never be ashamed of my roots.
About to part ways with my childhood Diamondback BMX.
Has the serial 3X1920. Quick search says it's a Diamond Back Hot Streak (Gen 1 Freestyle) β circa 1985β1986.
Anyone any clue what it's worth? Been offered Β£200.

To think, this was taken by Scouser and the Grand Depart is heading to my hometown of Liverpool.
Beyond excited. Few local KoMs are about to go, though.
See you all on Cote de Parbold π΄

Random thing to ask on here, but is anyone in need of a lot of stoma and catheter products? Got a lot of surplus, all sealed and unused. Suppliers don't want it back and being given the runaround trying to dispose of it properly.
I always wonder if the little old lady who shouted at me for moving in front of her to take this pic ever regretted it.
Note: The position was secured six months in advance thanks to the Marriott and @lpoolcouncil
Labour Party Conference in Liverpool City centre today.
Had wanted to see the Spanish talk ship at the Albert Dock, but the trains are all off from Kirkby and Aintree, so back to the most reliable mode of transport invented.
You know what's great for stress?
Riding your bike.
Had a horrible week and then some. Struggled to pedal at first, but soon got going and now feel great.
Amazing, isn't it. It's the 21st Century, but nothing can beat getting out in nature. Especially during Autumn π
Wow, four years ago, I made a comeback of sorts and returned to press photography by saying 'cheese' to the creator of Wallace & Gromit Nick Park as my first job working for @LiveLancs
Funny how this one job started a love affair as I crisscrossed Lancashire so many times and discovered how amazing of a patch I had (and I covered Cumbria, too).
Worked very, very hard and loved every minute of that job.
Must have made a mark, as many of my pics are still used regularly today despite switching to comms two years ago.
If you currently have a loved one who needs to go to Aintree Hospital, don't bother.
There's not enough room at the inn.
Currently sat in an ambulance outside with an elderly relative because there's not even enough room on the corridors.
And this is despite a GP referral.
Now in the back of ambulance number two, but at least this one is able to administer some emergency antibiotics.
Silver lining at the drive through A&E at Aintree Hospital.
UPDATE: Ended up being 4am before he was moved to a corridor.
Mad, isn't it. He is still there now.
Utter nuts that's something to aspire to when taking your elderly parent in for urgent medical care.
