This morning, federal immigration agents violently detained individuals on the grounds of Commodore John Rodgers Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore during school hours. Children were present. School staff intervened to care for them.

The new USCIS policy would appear to require anyone who is currently in the US who marries a U.S. citizen to leave the country, potentially for months or years, to get an immigrant visa; rather than doing what has been the process for 66 years and just applying for a green card.

Congress is being asked to hand ICE another $38 BILLION. In any other context, a 90% failure rate would trigger an audit, not a blank check.
They need to ask themselves: why would we write a check to scale up a detention regime that the courts have found unlawful 10,000 times?

It's official! Florida's Everglades immigrant detention camp (officially known as "Alligator Alcatraz") is shutting down.
The tent camp cost Florida over $1 million a day to operate. Conditions were dire; men reported verbal and physical abuse, unhygienic conditions, and more.
