So funny to see other fanbases mock the Spurs as if their team hasn’t been at home for weeks/months 28 other franchises would swap rosters and situation with us in a heartbeat So before you get your tweets off, look in the mirror 😅

I know the tl is all over the place right now but Mitch Johnson is not going to be fired, nor should he after the job he did this season (obviously could have been better in the finals) While, if they do decide to trade Fox they won’t dump his contract or trade him for nothing

Negatives: - Spurs lost the NBA Finals Positives: - Overachieved all year - Everyone finished the season healthy - The young core got four rounds of playoff experience - Lots of assets to keep building - This is the worse they will ever be Hard not to have a positive outlook

So proud of Devin Vassell Suffered through a lot of losing his first 5 seasons, was traded by fans 5000 times and was asked to play a million different roles on the court Then in the biggest moments, games and series he rose to the occasion A massive part in SA going forward

Don’t think Brian Wright needs to panic this offseason You were right there in year 1 and Wemby, Harper, Castle, Vassell, Champagnie and Bryant are all going to get better If there is a trade available to build more depth and strengthen weaknesses, do it, besides that stay put
I was a big advocate this playoffs that the Spurs weren’t being hindered by their youth and inexperience and I was right . . . All the way up to the NBA Finals The Spurs battled with the Knicks for 3 quarters every game But eventually their youth showed and NY took advantage

You got the #20 pick in a strong draft and have ammo to move up slightly if you love a player that fits and helps right away Also, they don’t have any financial restrictions and will have the full $14m MLE to use in free agency to build the roster They’re in a great spot

If you had told me this at the start of the season the Spurs would be in the NBA Finals, I wouldn’t have believed you No way did I think a team this young who hadn’t even played one playoff game together could go this far, this early A testament to this historic franchise

Mitch Johnson: "We've been blood, sweat, and tears for nine months, basically. It's over, so there will be plenty of time for reflection, but yeah, on the surface level, I don't think anybody other than the people in that room expected us to be here, so there's a lot of good in that, and there's a lot of pain in what would just happened, and both things can be true."

This season was up there with my favorite years watching the Spurs NO ONE thought they would be here this early NO ONE thought they would win 62 games NO ONE thought they would make the NBA Finals So, don’t let anyone downplay their accomplishments This was only the start…

Congrats to the Knicks franchise Their players, coaches and front office Built a great team led by an underdog star in Jalen Brunson No doubt the Spurs will be back. This was just year 1 with a core filled with 20-year-olds

Think the Spurs have swung too far back the other way from too many minutes for Wemby to now too little minutes Only 17 in the first half.

Tim Bontemps reacts to the overreaction to Wembanyama’s quote: “This is where the internet is a stupid place. He got asked, how is everybody feeling coming off of this loss and how the groups feeling about coming back in the series. And he said: ‘Everybody thinks they’re going to come back and win the series.’ What would everybody like Victor Wembanyama to say? ‘We’re screwed? We’re going to lose tomorrow by 30? The series is over?’ Like what the hell are we talking about.” #GoSpursGo #PorVida
Victor Wembanyama on whether his teammates believe they can come back from down 3-1: “Everybody knows we are going to do it.”

I’ve never seen a fanbase dissect quotes from press conferences like they mean anything like the Knicks fans are doing right now What players are saying means absolutely nothing to what happens on the floor You want the Spurs to say they no chance?? Like come on be real 😂
