Genesis Update: Wallet Hopping Prevention and Developer Wallet Adjustment At Virtuals Protocol, Genesis was designed to evolve, learning from real behaviors, adapting quickly, and always putting fairness first. Today, we’re rolling out two major updates to protect the long-term health of the Genesis Points system: ---- Wallet Hopping Prevention: •Protections have been added to prevent point farming through wallet hopping. •Moving assets between wallets to bypass Take-Profit cooldowns will now trigger cooldowns across related wallets. This ensures all participants engage on equal terms. ---- Developer Wallet Adjustment: Developer wallets were never intended to farm Genesis Points, as builders play a critical role in shaping their agent ecosystems. •Developer wallets will no longer accrue Genesis Points moving forward. •Existing developer wallet points have been reset to zero to maintain fairness. •Protections have also been added to prevent point farming through new wallets linked to developer holdings. This refinement ensures that point rewards reflect real community participation, while recognizing the different role developers play. ---- Why we do this: We are committed to driving fairness for all participants, from developers to Virgens, and protecting the ecosystem from potential exploits. These updates reinforce what Genesis stands for: •Transparent systems •Real, meaningful participation •A fair foundation for the agent economy to thrive We also want to sincerely thank the community members who surfaced these behaviors early. the crypto world has often been extractive, training us to be cynical. that said i urge all virgens to be kind to founders launching on genesis. while one angle is to read their launch as 'they getting 50% token with only a 100 $virtual payment", the founders' angle is more on 'having 37.5% of their tokens to the virgens at a very low valuation.' building costs money. hence in many cases the founders hope to have some tokens unlocked just to cover basic runway. this is where we come in, not to attack but to educate. tokens should ideally be used as incentive. that funding should ideally come from trading taxes which should be sufficient for successful teams. all in all, lets be less hostile towards builders because the whole space is so new. lots of exploration and education are needed! a little kindess and empathy can go a long way!

important update to points starting tomorrow: if a genesis agent has team tokens unlocked, there will be no diamond hand bonus or take profit cooldown period applied. this is due to the difficulty in defining what constitutes a 'rug' and the team's rights to sell their vested tokens
