Morgan County senior point guard Zeki Locus was emotional after the Dogs’ 53–52 overtime win over Butler in the GHSA Class 2A state championship. Locus delivered in the biggest moment, knocking down two clutch free throws with 6.3 seconds left in OT to put Morgan County ahead for good. He finished the game with a double-double, recording 20 points and 13 rebounds

GHSA FINAL 4 - AA 📍 Legacy Arena in Douglasville Final: @MorganCountyMBB - 69 Therrell - 62 Morgan County advances to the State Title game next Saturday v the winner of tonight’s KIPP/Butler game. 2026 Zeki Locus took over the game in the 2nd half on his way to a team-high 17p. 15 of which came in the 2nd half. 2028 Garrett Ward was huge as he added 14p including 4 from 3pt land. 2029 Trey Carter & 2026 Jacoby Simmons both had great contributions as well finishing with 10p each.
