Today at the @ZeroCo2_Project meeting: Ionnas Vourdoubas of @CIHEAM_MAICh presenting the findings of their regional #SWOT analysis, carried out over the past months in regards to the promotion of #NearZeroCO2 emission buildings due to energy use, as part of COVID-19 relief.
The extended ZEROCO2 project has received additional EU funds to continue its applauded work in sharing best practices for #decarbonising buildings. 🇪🇺👏

@ZeroCo2_Project new actions in Malta: The fiscal support scheme for solar water heaters have been upgraded and a new grant scheme for heat pump water heaters have been announced. Schemes to encourage sports complexes to implement energy efficiency measures have been announced.
@ZeroCo2_Project Interim Monitoring Outcome in Malta: Commitment of the Housing Authority to collaborate with the University of Malta to renovate social housing blocks. Professional training programme to design and construct near zero-energy buildings successfully implemented.
@ZeroCo2_Project Final conference of 19 September 2019, called for more focus on displaying carbon rather than primary energy indicators in EPCs. The public perceive ZeroEnergy Indicator as energy costs, while ZeroCO2 Indicator focuses on the environment and carbon neutrality.
