US foreign policy playbook has always been the same with different flavors each time
1. Identify target country/regime
2. Economically sanction country/regime (make something up like drugs, culture, religion)
3. Country/regime economically collapses
4. Country starts to experience internal conflicts due to poverty
5. CIA starts infiltration campaign and bride/threat political opposition
6. Once opposition allegiance is reached, operation begins
7. Planned revolts/military operations dispatch current regime
8. Install opposition/puppet regime
9. Lift sanction and country returns to normal economic activity
10. Claims moral victory as country is now doing better than before (due to sanction lift)
Note: The goal is not to further US economic interest, the goal is to consolidate power and economic interest of the military
Successful examples: Literally 80% of the world's reginal conflicts/wars.
Unsuccessful examples: Russia, China
For
#Venezuela we are at step 7, In 5-10 years we will be at step 10 and Venezuela WILL have a better economy, and it will be the perfect "role model" for US to justify this type of invasive foreign policy.
Long term this is going to further destroy US's international reputation as the people executing the playbook has become way too blunt/unashamed. Reasons to intervene went from morality to non sensical, this will eventually reach a boiling point in the international stage.
