Here is my article on Garabed Artinian who survived the Adana Massacres of 1909, lost his family, and wrote the lengthiest lamentation poem (destan) in Armeno-Turkish. I analyze the destan, discuss its historical value, and provide a translation.

As announced at the #NCSS2024 President's Welcome this morning, Ta-Nehisi Coates will no longer be speaking today due to exposure to COVID-19. NCSS has extended an invitation to Mr. Coates to share his voice with us at a future event.
