Some back story. The person I replied to had been lying about where they lived, pretending to be Japanese when they clearly weren't, using these lies to spread more lies about other countries, and I called them out on it along with a screen shot of his profile showing that he wasn't in Japan but rather in Canada. Some snowflake at X decided pointing out that they were a lying scumbag is "hateful conduct" Let's go through the actual policy and see:
1. Hateful references - This includes, but is not limited to media or text that refers to or depicts:
genocides, (e.g., the Holocaust);
lynchings.
Nope, didn't do that.
2. Incitement
We prohibit inciting behavior that targets individuals or groups of people belonging to protected categories.
Nope, didn't do that either.
3. Slurs and Tropes
We prohibit targeting others with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category.
Nope, didn't do that.
4. Dehumanization
We prohibit the dehumanization of a group of people based on their religion, caste, age, disability, serious disease, national origin, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Nope, that didn't happen.
5. Hateful Imagery
We consider hateful imagery to be logos, symbols, or images whose purpose is to promote hostility and malice against others based on their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or ethnicity/national origin.
No imagery in this post whatsoever.
6. Hateful Profile
You may not use hateful images or symbols in your profile image or profile header.
That isn't the case.
So, I didn't violate a single one of these rules, but somehow the guy who lied about his nationality, lied about where he lives, used those lies to slander other nationalities, and did nothing but insult everyone who replied calling him out on his lies gets away with it.
He must have a friend or something working at X. The censorship on this platform is beyond pathetic.
