ACTUALLY I’m very interested to see if / how they’ll reuse this wooden board idea ( or similar forms of travel ) for future Story Modes / Dlc / spin offs or even multiplayer map design
Bc water doesn’t have to only be an off limits area if you can easily surf now

the board is similar to the ride/ink rails but I think the board has more room for more “expressive” uses, in theory, you could use the L stick more freely and actually surf around larger areas and have have freedom for exploration
Also ink/ride rails are also more height based

When The Raiders Collab Splatfest lets us use the gadgets as specials we find around the map ( or some as main weapons ) , Splat2 style where we could’ve used Pearls cannon / squid vs Octo where if you were team octoling you could play as one even if you didn’t have the dlc
