Glad to see the smash hit of @glasgowfilmfest 2026 and my film of the year will finally be getting a proper release - Vertigo coming in with the goods - don't miss it!
Another @glasgowfilmfest in the books. My 9th festival! So many highlights - amazing events across the board and the best two screenings of Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie that are now firmly core festival memories. The best job and the best team - GFF forever and always ❤️
Managing to programme Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie for @glasgowfilmfest will forever go down as a core festival memory. Two sold out screenings in our 400 seater screen, electric atmosphere, the cheers, the laughter and the applause is what it’s all about
On this day in 1999, Jimmy Eat World released their album, Clarity. The rest is history.
Here's the band performing "Blister" in Atlanta, Georgia, in June, 1999
Finally, the @glasgowfilmfest programme has dropped and I am so glad to have it out there. Below are some of the films that I am most excited for people to see:
Sinsin and the Mouse - Directed by Yukinori Makabe (Love, Life and Goldfish, GFF22) this is a change of pace as a young woman travels to Taiwan in the wake of her mothers passing and bonds with a local man over their shared grief and loneliness. Very moving!
OBEX - Albert Birney (Strawberry Mansion) directs and stars in this lo-fi adventure epic that sees a simple man have to enter a video game in order to rescue his dog. Shades of Eraserhead with some amazing visuals thrown in - I had a lot of fun with this.
It’s full scream ahead as FrightFest returns to GFF for its 21st year, presenting three days of trauma, terror and tantalising thrills!

ALT A bold red and white graphic poster for Glasgow FrightFest at the Glasgow Film Festival. The design features a stylized, high-contrast illustration of a shocked face with hands on cheeks, reminiscent of classic horror imagery. Text on the poster reads: “GFF” in the top left with a rectangular logo, “FRIGHTFEST GLASGOW” in large letters, with “GLASGOW” highlighted in bright yellow. Below, it says “The Dark Heart of Cinema® 5 to 7 March 2026.” A signature appears in the bottom right corner.
