Trump’s releasing the Aliens files to distract from the Epstein files. It really is Aliens vs Predators! Boom boom!

I get a lovely wee mention in this book. So go buy it. Ps. It’s also really good.

Was working on a new ghost story I’m trying to write and the lid of a wash basket managed to cross the room and clatter against the radiator at the other side. Can’t tell if this means I should keep going or delete everything and sell the house.

I can’t tell if Del Toro ending Frankenstein with a Byron quote is him trolling us, or if he’s unaware of the sexiest idiots who insist Byron must’ve written the book because a woman couldn’t possibly create something that brilliant.

The Dahmer look. You too can look this good while your neighbours debate whether your vibe is ‘vintage chic’ or ‘I should double-lock my door.’

The camera didn’t kill art. It forced artists to rethink what art was and we got Impressionism. If AI can write like you, then what you’re doing is already generic. Don’t cry about it. Invent something new.

Watching this Derry Girls prequel, Welcome to Derry. It’s accurate, sure, but it could really do with a joke or two.

I don’t know about other writers but I’d be thrilled with a readers’ note like this 😂

Delighted to see a very talented former student of mine published in The Pig’s Back. (I take absolutely no credit. The talent was fully formed. I just pointed at it occasionally.)
Issue Seven of The Pig's Back is now available for pre-order. Featuring new writing from Sophie Corser, Wendy Erskine, Rosa Makela, Dara McWade, Laura Morris, Nicole Morris and Odrán Waldron.

“Short Story of the Year” but only if it’s under 2,000 words and blessed by one editor at one publication. Be serious, Irish Book Awards.
