6 years ago, I told my wife in an airport:
“I think I can be a head coach one day.”
She didn’t hesitate—“I believe that too.”
Since then, she’s stood by me through it all.
Today, it’s official: I’m the new Head Football Coach at @CortlandHS_FB .
Let’s work.

2029 QB Jordan Pittman showing off his arm strength during turf time today.
This kid is the future of Cortland football.
Programs better jump on him before his recruitment heats up his Sophomore year.

We’re starting a new tradition within Cortland Football where former players can write a letter to the next athlete who earns their number.
Connect the past with the present, remind our players that the number on their jersey means something, and challenge them to represent it.
While everything today is expensive, I find it extremely sad when an athletes parent will not contribute towards a fundraiser.
Mind you, contributing can be sharing the fundraiser with work, church, friends, etc…
Coaches, let’s make it 10 in 10 days!
If you’re an Empire 8 or New York program, you should be recruiting in your backyard.
Our 2027 class has several OL, LBs, TEs & RBs looking for home.
Message or call me to set up a time to come see our athletes!

Shoutout to Coach Sanchez and @sunycortlandfootball for stopping by today and spending time with some of our Class of 2027 athletes.
Always grateful when programs take the time to build relationships and invest in our guys. The work continues.

Shame on @Stowermikenna for trying to scam one of my athletes. If he reaches out to your players trying to send them electronic checks and that he’s part of @TarletonFB it’s a scam.
Coaches, remember to be careful not to get caught up in the chase for that next title or position.
I remember this time last year I was interviewing for my head coaching job, just hoping I got an opportunity.
A year later, still a lot of work to do here in Cortland — don’t have time to look for the next big job/opportunity.
